Mountain treks in Kroumirie mean long hikes in the original style. Just like in the days when villages in Kroumirie first connected, the routes follow narrow, steep, sometimes damp, but always moderately rugged trails. They lead through preserved wild nature, streams and rivers mesmerizing with their wonderful waterfalls, cork oak and holm oak trees shading the paths, and occasional appearances of the local indigenous protectors of the forests—their wildlife. All of this gives a glimpse of a time when walking was the only way to cross the mountain passes of Kroumirie.
The Dar El Ain treks cover many kilometers of Kroumirie, passing through several villages where you can meet shepherds, farmers, and artisans, and enjoy local dishes rich in the flavors of Kroumirie.
